TrueSpend

Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026

TrueSpend is built local-first: your budget lives on your phone, and everything below follows from that.

What we collect

Your email address. Used to sign you in and to tie your data to you. With Sign in with Apple you may hide it; the private relay address Apple issues works identically and is all we ever see.

Financial data you choose to sync or import. If cloud sync is on, your budget — settings, categories, plans, cards and transactions — is stored on our server so it can follow you to a new phone. If you import a PDF or a photo of a statement, the file is uploaded, read, and then deleted from the server within 24 hours; only the transaction rows you approved are kept. CSV and OFX files are parsed entirely on your device and are never uploaded.

What we don't do

No advertising. No analytics SDKs. No trackers. No selling or sharing of your data with anyone. Statement extraction uses an AI service under a contract that prohibits training on your data. Reminders never contain amounts.

Where it lives

Server data is stored in Canada (AWS, Montréal region) and encrypted in transit.

Your controls

Children

TrueSpend is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes with it.
